Millstone and Landscape

Posted by Katherine (Bristol, United Kingdom) on 6 November 2010 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio.

Froggatt Edge used to be a quarry, and some evidence of this still remains in the form of millstones lying on the ground. Evidently they must have been shaped on site and then transported to their destination. I wanted to make the golden light on the stone the main focus, but to retain some of its setting in the form of the landscape below. (The crag is only around 15m high, however it sits quite high above the surrounding landscape.)

I'm keen to learn and improve so any guidance is appreciated.
